According to an official announcement published by the Ghana Ministry of Finance, the certificate commonly referred to as the CTN (Cargo Tracking Note) or SPN (Smart Port Note) is currently not in force for shipments destined for Ghana.

The Ministry further stated that businesses and individuals should exercise caution regarding websites and companies that continue to promote these certificates as mandatory requirements. The announcement also noted that certain entities have published purported official documents claiming authorization for such certificates and that these documents are not recognized by the Ministry.
Stakeholders are therefore advised to rely only on official government communications and verified sources when assessing documentary requirements for shipments to Ghana.
